Naruto Chapter 535: Iruka’s Persuasion

After reading onward’s in Naruto, I’d began losing interest quite easily.  This chapter somewhat brought my interest back, however.  The appearance of Iruka and several other Leaf member’s can make you begin to wonder; is the story finally getting back on track?!  My answer is; just about.  With the last few chapter’s consisting on several outbreak’s in the war (which, don’t get me wrong have been quite thrilling, but can get boring after a while, considering most of the time Kishimoto really like’s to tug our chain) it actually “got back onto plot” and began to tell us about Naruto, because to be honest I know we are all wondering what the hell Naruto is actually doing? They say he is training but I think we all know something else is going on eh? eh? Forget it.

Iruka, Naruto’s former teacher and first friend finally make’s his appearance once again. Trying to keep Naruto within the Chakra isolation chamber Iruka tell’s him a small lie trying to explain the sensation he felt earlier on. Naruto call’s his bluff and was able to barge through the guard’s because of his sage mode dropping his forehead protector in the process. Apon reaching outside he was able to sense the world around him thanks to his sage mode.

Being trapped by a member of the Nara clan by the shadow mimic jutsu Iruka was able to answer some serious question’s Naruto had. After exchanging thought’s and such, Iruka revealed the truth about what is really going on. A flashback is shown of the conference between Nagato and Naruto when Nagato trust’s his faith of peace in Naruto’s hands. After a while Iruka then reveal’s his true feelings towards Naruto and say’s “You are like my little brother”. Sweet and touching right?

Iruka then passes him back his forehead protector he dropped. Naruto breaks free from the shadow mimic jutsu and runs off as fast as he could. While putting his forehead protector back on he finds a note hidden. The note explain’s Iruka basiclly telling Naruto that he could not stop him… and to come back alive!

This chapter was partically heart warming. Various different section’s touched my heart in different way’s, for example when Iruka said about naruto being like his little brother it touched my heart that Naruto had someone as close to him as Iruka. Seriously this guy cannot be a prick even if he tries, The nine tails fox killed his parents and yet he is one of the only people which doesnt blame Naruto for it. Sweet.

The overall rating for this Chapter is 3.5/5. A reasonable flow of story, the return of Naruto after so long. The mood of the chapter felt right, helped to bring back memories of when Naruto was interesting and stayed on plot. Overall good chapter, not the best and not the worst but still reasonable.
